UCONN STUDENT TELEVISION

I had the pleasure of working with UConn Student Television, a student-run television network comprised of six media departments. I began my sophomore year, working as the VP of Programming of the marketing team. Within this role, I managed all correspondence with UConn organizations and programmed our promotional events. This past year, I was promoted to the executive board as Chief Marketing Officer. I had the opportunity to oversee the marketing team: VP of programming, VP of Branding, VP of Content Distribution, and VP of Social Media and Analytics, leading our promotional and media planning across all marketing channels.

Event Campaigns
  • Oversaw all planning, media publicity and promotional campaigns for inaugural UCTV Film Festival. Received 100+ submissions from across the nation using effective strategies across digital and print marketing channels. Designed website promotional page, as well as arranged Radio and Newspaper coverage.

  • Organized a collaboration with UConn’s Late Night Organization, which provides Friday night activities to the UConn student body. In alignment with UCTV’s connection to media, the theme of Barbie Night was crafted using the recently released film. Effectively achieved a turnout of 500+ students across a span of five hours.

  • Planned the annual General Body Mixer, an Organization-Wide networking event, with the collaboration of our Chief Human Resources Officer. Achieved 75% attendance, increasing turnout by 40% as compared to previous years.

  • Used event budget to create price breakdowns and comparisons of decoration, venue, and food vendors. Created finalized itemized lists and promotional material through social media and email marketing.

  • Created idea for UCTV x Women in Business Collaboration using company media equipment for headshots. Managed all event correspondence and planning between organizations. Used Canva to create social media content for both organizations, and then Instagram tools for story promotion, achieving turnout of 50+.
